About My Clients
Therapy is about you and should be designed to meet your unique needs within the guidelines of confidentiality and ethical practice. I would like to partner with you in a effort to help you address the feelings, thoughts and experiences that are adversely effecting your life. I work with children, adolescents, and adults. In therapy I address a range of issues such as grief and loss, anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment disorders and behavior issues.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Maryland, Washington, DC, Pennsylvania & Virginia. I have been working as a psychotherapist three years. I practice a combination of evidenced-based theory and holistic practices with good old fashion talk therapy. I am here to support you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Since my academic and professional discipline is in social work, I am VERY much about affirming and empowering people who are socially and systemically marginalized (African Americans, LGBTQIA+, Women, Immigrants, People with disabilities and a long list of over looked individuals). Being marginalized is traumatic and creates a very unique experience for people. My role is to create a space to talk about that trauma, to unpack it and most important empower my clients press forward and maintain their peace of mind.
