About My Clients
I've worked with clients of all ages from preschool students to elderly and so many in between, what everyone has in common is the need to be heard and the willingness to be understood. I provide connection, comfort and understanding so that you can tell your story.
My Background and Approach
I am process oriented, humanistic-existential therapist, which is basically saying, I create space for you to process moments in your life to understand who you are and how you see the world. This can mean using the space to tell your story, doing inner child work to understand your past or doing parts work to understand the way the different parts of you come together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I became a therapist because I needed someone like me when I was younger. Having gone through trauma and grief, there was no concept of therapy as a child of immigrants, but there was community and faith. As I grew older I understood how community and faith play a part but being a therapist that recognizes that for my clients is important. I hope to be a therapist that can understand cultural nuances and collectivist cultures and help people build those parts of themselves into the healing process
