In addition to being neurodivergent myself, I have extensive experience working with autistic/ neurodivergent clients in both therapeutic and arts settings. I regularly work with both early and late diagnosed clients of all ages and genders to better understand and explore: the ways that they move through the world, internalized ableism, diagnostic clarity, ways to navigate a world that often doesn't fit for them, identifying needs and supports etc.

I specialize in working with folks who have experienced complex trauma and/or difficult childhood experiences. I integrate a wide-range of holistic and somatic treatment modalities into my work, with an emphasis on supporting clients to understand their nervous system and to find gentle healing for both body and mind.

I have expertise in working with neurodiverse folks and those who love them. I have developed a wide-range of expressive arts programs for neurodiverse clientele, and am quite versed in neurodiverse culture and challenges that can face neurodiverse clients.I believe in a non-pathologizing model that orients towards identifying therapy goals and helping clients understand themselves and be the best version of themselves that they can be - just like all other clients.

We all use stories to make sense of our world and to share that understanding with others. Through borrowing tenets from narrative therapy and storytelling frameworks, I provide clients with a unique way to understand where they are in their own journey, how they got there, where they'd like to go next, and how to get moving in the right direction. Narrative therapy provides a great framework for guiding clients to unstick their stuck.

Simplified, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy considers how our thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected. As we grow our understanding around this, we increase our understanding around the patterns in our lives that we're stuck in, and what needs to change to move forward. I have specialized training in CBT and have also trained in Trauma Focused CBT. Some clients enjoy "traditional" CBT with assigned homework and tasks, while others prefer just using the framework. Either works for me!

I overlay attachment theory over much of the work I do, as it provides a strong foundation for understanding how past hurts and relationships have impacted current emotional communication patterns, trust, relationship building etc. Understanding and applying attachment theory provides clients with great insight to themselves and their relationships.
