About My Clients
I believe all clients come to therapy with unique, current concerns, that are often times rooted in a past trauma that they have experienced. Working to identify the root cause and then addressing the situation, whether it be relationship or family related, depression, anxiety, or even career comes shortly after identifying the underlying issues.
My Background and Approach
I have a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and have received extensive training in EMDR, Brainspotting, and Trauma Informed Care, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). While I do rely heavily on these approaches to address my client's concerns due to my training, I do also consider that each client is unique and may require an alternate modality. Therefore, I am skilled in pulling techniques from different modalities like CBT, ACT, and DBT.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all clients are unique and while they may present with similar surface concerns, theirs unique experiences and backgrounds will greatly impact their treatment. I am an advocate for culturally diverse care and also reaching minority groups and their allies that are struggling to navigate a racially charged society.
