About My Clients
I specialize in helping those struggling with mood disorders, suicidal thoughts, and the lingering effects of trauma. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your emotions, rediscover your strength, and begin to feel more like yourself again. I am committed to providing inclusive, affirming care that actively supports LGBTQ+ individuals, diverse identities, and people navigating the impact of systemic and societal stressors.
My Background and Approach
I believe therapy should recognize the real-world contexts: cultural, political, and social, that shape your mental health and your sense of safety in the world. You might feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, overthinking, or self-doubt, or carrying the weight of past experiences that continue to show up in your day-to-day life. Sometimes it’s hard to explain exactly what’s wrong, only that something doesn’t feel right, and you want things to feel different. I work with teens (13+) and adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, and the impact of difficult past experiences. Together, we’ll slow things down and explore what’s going on at a pace that feels right for you. I draw from cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and humanistic and existential perspectives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I tailor therapy to meet you where you are, whether that means helping you challenge negative thought patterns, explore deeper emotional experiences, or focus on practical solutions for what you're facing right now. Together, we'll build a therapeutic relationship rooted in trust, empathy, and your own unique strengths so you can begin to heal, grow, and feel more in control of your life. I believe the best way to conduct therapy is through honest, kindness, humor, and a strong therapeutic relationship. I work hard to understand my client's as an entire person and approach them as holistically as possible. Everyone is welcome here!
