About My Clients
I provide a person-centered caring integrative approach. I have a special interest in working with adults and couples navigating how faith, culture, identity, difficult situations, and past experiences impact and influence life functions. I enjoy working with clients to process persistent worries and unhealthy thoughts, establish healthy boundaries, and identify what causes feeling stuck. Regardless of the season of life you might be in, come just as you are!
My Background and Approach
I enjoy working with adults and couples navigating how faith, culture, identity, difficult situations, and past experiences impact and influence life functions. We will collaborate as you work through persistent worries, unhealthy thoughts, establish healthy boundaries, and identify what causes feeling stuck. I know it can be a bit scary opening up to someone you just met, especially about your mental health or about the struggles in your marriage or relationships. I understand. This is why I enjoy being a person-centered approach therapist. This means I will listen to what your needs are and this will drive your therapeutic work. Evidence-based modalities are integrated such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Gottman Method, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, etc., where you will learn and apply strategies that best support and empower you in your journey of healing. I believe you are filled with great potential within you to heal and thrive!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My hope is to ensure a safe and comfortable place for you to heal. Experiencing emotions such as worries and sadness as well as flooding of thoughts can come and go depending on the situations and events that occur. It is a normal part of our lives, but when they are persistently overwhelming and we lack resources to manage these thoughts and emotions, it can begin to affect our lives. Taking the steps to consider counseling and the willingness to better your health takes courage. My goal is to listen, walk alongside you, support, encourage, create space for collaboration and feedback, equip with effective strategies, and challenge when necessary. You are encouraged to take ownership of the therapy work. I encourage you to embrace your faith, spirituality, and who you are, in your therapeutic journey. My faith as a Christian guide my practice and Christian counseling is available upon request. As you fully engage and participate, you will gain confidence and empowerment!
