About My Clients

Many of my clients are exhausted from being strong for everyone else. They may be navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, identity exploration, relationship challenges, burnout, or simply feeling stuck. I work with teens, adults, couples, and LGBTQIA2+ clients who are looking for a therapist who is genuine, collaborative, and not afraid to talk about the hard stuff, but like, nicely. My goal is to help you heal, grow, and feel more like you in your own life.

My Background and Approach

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with over 20 years of experience supporting adolescents, young adults, and families. I’ve spent my career as a high school counselor, helping individuals navigate anxiety, identity development, trauma, relationship challenges, academic stress, life transitions, neurodiversity and crises. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in the belief that healing happens when you feel safe. I draw from person-centered therapy, CBT, DBT, attachment-based work, EFCT, mindfulness, psychoeducation, and experiential approaches while tailoring therapy to each client’s unique needs. Some clients want practical coping skills and concrete tools. Others want space to process painful experiences, better understand themselves, or create healthier relationships. Most want both. I strive to create a space where clients can come as they are without judgment, masking, or pressure to have everything figured out.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe people are doing the best they can with the tools, and support available to them. I also believe growth is possible at any stage of life, especially when people are given a space where they feel seen, accepted, and understood. As a member of the LGBTQIA2+ community, I am passionate about creating affirming spaces for individuals exploring identity, relationships, belonging, and self-acceptance. I value authenticity, curiosity, social justice, and the belief that every person deserves dignity and respect. Outside of therapy, I enjoy music, creating, dancing, learning, and spending time with the people and cats I love. I volunteer as a scholarship essay evaluator/interviewer, am members of a safe at schools committee for LGBTQIA2+ youth, and in domestic violence advocacy work. I bring both professional expertise and genuine humanity into the therapy room because I believe meaningful healing happens when people don’t have to pretend they are okay.
