About My Clients
My clients are preteens, teens, and young adults who feel like something is off — but can't quite name it. They may be struggling with anxiety, depression, identity, school pressure, or relationship challenges. Some have been through something heavy and are ready to process it. Others just feel stuck. I also work with parents who love their kids deeply but aren't sure how to help. Whatever brings you here, you don't have to navigate it alone.
My Background and Approach
I'm Kylie Henry, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) based in Plano, TX, serving the DFW area in person and virtually throughout Texas and Oklahoma — including college students who want continuity of care between school and home. I earned my MS in Clinical Psychology from Abilene Christian University and have been practicing for 8 years. I am in-network with BCBS, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, and Carelon Behavioral Health, and offer a free 15-minute consultation for new clients. My approach is warm and client-centered, drawing primarily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while incorporating expressive arts and motivational interviewing. My goal is for you to feel genuinely heard — and then gently challenged to grow. I also have a four-legged co-therapist named Winston, who has a gift for making the hard conversations feel a little easier.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens when people feel truly safe — not just comfortable, but genuinely seen and not judged. That conviction shapes everything about how I show up in the therapy room. I also believe you were not made to go through this life alone. Whether you're facing something acute or carrying something you've held for a long time, the therapeutic relationship itself is part of what heals. Faith is an important part of my own life, and I welcome clients who want to integrate their spiritual beliefs into the counseling process. At the same time, I hold space for clients of all backgrounds and beliefs — faith integration is always an invitation, never a requirement. Finally, I believe in meeting people where they are. Progress doesn't always look linear, and growth doesn't always feel good in the moment. My job isn't to have all the answers — it's to walk alongside you while you find yours.
