About My Clients

Healing can often be an intimidating process, but I am here to walk alongside you in this journey as we go into the messier, more complicated parts of life in a nonjudgemental way and safe space. If you are a person who often wonders what your meaning and purpose are; if you are feeling overwhelmed and unsure of where to go next; struggling with identity, relationships, or making meaningful connections in life, I am here to walk alongside you.

My Background and Approach

As a holistic clinician, Kylie cares deeply about helping people heal from the inside out on emotional, relational, physical, and spiritual levels. She works from an existential theoretical approach, emphasizing freedom, your ability to make a rational choice, your meaning and purpose in life, and your own unique identity. She integrates other approaches such as DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), and Mindfulness practices to help bring awareness to distorted thoughts and body sensations. Kylie earned her Master’s of Science of Clinical Counseling at Central Methodist University. Prior to her Master’s degree, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Christian Counseling at Central Christian College of the Bible. She has experience helping people with substance use disorders at residential treatment/outpatient settings, and she has very much enjoyed working with a DBT consultation team helping individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe each human being has inherent worth. Because you exist - you are worthy! This belief is an important part of my work and life, because it reminds me to not lose sight of the human being in front of me, no matter the context we are in. This belief has helped fuel my passion for working with women in addiction and starting a sober living home after witnessing and hearing the stories of how women are treated in the legal system. At the end of the day, it is important for me to honor each the worth and dignity of every human and provide a safe place.
