About My Clients
I work with clients and their families through several themes, which include: anxiety, depression, family conflict, stress, trauma and grief. I love working from a strength-based approach, meaning I will explore your strengths, interests and aspirations to support you in reaching your therapeutic goals in a way that is meaningful to you.
My Background and Approach
I am Japanese and was born and raised on the island of Oʼahu, Hawaiʼi, until I moved up to Orange County for college at Concordia University Irvine where I majored in Psychology and graduate school where I received my Masters in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from San Diego State University. I also enjoy utilizing play therapy, art therapy, self-care/mindfulness practices, cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy to help you gain insight on how your past experiences may impact you today.
