About My Clients
I specialize in treating adults with mood and anxiety disorders, particularly those navigating the challenges of pregnancy, parenthood, and perinatal mental health. I am experienced in working with vulnerable populations, such as those with chronic mental illness, trauma, and substance use issues. My ideal client is someone seeking a holistic and compassionate approach to mental health care.
My Background and Approach
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with 13 years of experience in healthcare, and I hold a certification in Perinatal Mental Health. I received my Bachelor’s from NYU and my Master’s from Hunter College, training in New York City. My career has focused on treating vulnerable populations, including those with chronic mental illness, substance use disorders, and limited access to healthcare. My specialties include mood and anxiety disorders, perinatal mental health, PTSD, and medication management. I use a holistic approach, blending evidence-based treatments like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based techniques.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in treating every person as a whole, integrating both medication and therapy to help individuals feel like themselves again. I value a collaborative approach to care, using shared decision-making to ensure that treatment aligns with each person’s unique needs and values. My practice is rooted in compassion, mindfulness, and respect for the therapeutic relationship. I am passionate about supporting people during pivotal life moments, particularly those entering parenthood. I advocate for mental health awareness and the importance of access to care for all individuals, especially those in underserved communities.
