About My Clients
Are you feeling overwhelmed and stressed? I can help you sort through the issues causing your stress so you can have a calmer frame of mind. My mission is to enable you to find balance and peace in your life. I provide my clients the tools they need to overcome challenges with their careers, relationships and the transition from military to civilian life. I also have training working with people who have issues with attention difficulties and alcohol/substance use.
My Background and Approach
Currently I'm helping clients navigate COVID-related challenges, including isolation and anxiety, job loss and grief. Much of our sessions will focus on putting you at ease and feeling heard. We will focus on identifying your goals and developing a plan to meet them while learning the coping skills that will keep you on track. I utilize strategies from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT). Additionally, I am certified in assistive technology and trauma. Having a therapist who really hears and understands your experience is important. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I encourage a safe space for open dialogue. I am very laid-back and direct. I ask my clients to be honest and direct because I find it helps us reach their goals. I enjoy humor and will use it when appropriate. I have a lot of experience incorporating technology into treatment and will use it when needed.
