About My Clients
I work with adult clients living with addiction, mood disorders, co-occurring concerns, justice-involvement, or inter/intrapersonal relationship conflicts, and helping them return to or restart their place in their community. We'll look at these experiences through the lenses of mind, body, and spirit. This is purposefully a broad brushstroke as the concern that may bring you into therapy often extends itself into other domains as we explore a lifetime of patterns, beliefs, and values.
My Background and Approach
My philosophy of care includes mindfulness-based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy with a solid foundation of cognitive coaching, behavioral activation, and gentle accountability. Psychoeducation aspects such as integrative medicine, somatic processing, and hormone health are also included in the comprehensive therapy provided. I am also well-aware of the process one undergoes when beginning their healing, and that it is rarely a linear experience. To this end, I bring patience, tolerance, and motivation to keep each person engaged as they establish their routine and foundation.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
That moment when we have compassion for ourselves and perhaps even those around us so that the way we see the world shifts is such an incredible experience that everyone deserves to have. I'm in this line of work because of this belief, and that of second chances, so that we feel prepared to create the world we want despite of what our world has been.
