About My Clients
If hearing the phrase “your childhood wasn’t that bad” sends a chill down your spine, you’re not alone. You’ve probably learned how to smile and say you’re “fine,” even when parts of you are screaming otherwise. Maybe you’ve had moments where something small happens, and suddenly you feel unseen. Or you find yourself flooded with anger, shame, or fear that feels bigger than the situation in front of you.
My Background and Approach
These reactions aren’t random. From an Internal Family Systems (IFS) perspective, they make perfect sense. They’re parts of you doing their best to keep you safe, often the same parts that reach for relief through food, alcohol, gambling, or dissociation. These parts aren’t broken; they’ve been working tirelessly to help you survive. You might be tired of holding everything together, ready for a space where every part of you can finally be seen and met with curiosity, not judgment. At the heart of my work is IFS, helping you get to know and care for those parts. I integrate EMDR to help your most vulnerable parts gently release what they’ve been holding and DBT-informed tools to support grounding and emotional balance along the way. I work with beautifully complex women, the ones who feel both “too much” and “not enough,” who’ve spent their lives being “fine” while quietly falling apart.
