About My Clients
I help people who are trying to find another way of being with their anxiety and stress. Some ways it shows up through difficulties with communication skills, feelings of isolation, creativity, life transitions, trauma, chronic illness and difficulties in their personal or work relationships, including cross cultural relationships. I also support mothers/birthing people through the journey of pregnancy and postpartum.
My Background and Approach
I use compassion and humor to create a space where we can work together to make shifts in your life and explore challenging topics. I understand the need to find realistic solutions and work collaboratively with you in identifying your goals. I provide empathic, thoughtful support to help you create a space of understanding and awareness, and I work collaboratively with you to identify your goals for therapy. We work to uncover and make sense of confusing or conflicting desires, thoughts, and feelings and explore relationship patterns that are not working for you. Together we develop communication tools and self-care strategies to help you feel better and to clarify your inner voice and move past critical self-judgments and unhelpful behaviors. As a trained art therapist, I use art therapy as a tool to help increase insight and gain a deeper understanding of your life experiences. The artmaking experience opens up space for change and creativity.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about community connections and believe therapy can be an opportunity to explore life experiences and find moments to reconnect with yourself and discover the path to a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
