Ecotherapy is therapy that either takes place in and/or incorporates elements and beings in the natural world. I incorporate these elements and beings through the wisdom of your body via curiosity and mindfulness, helping you feel their support, guidance, and nonjudgmental presence. If you're near Jackson, Wyoming, we go outdoors together. Over zoom, you are welcome to choose a safe, private area outdoors (conditions and location permitting) to have your session.

In this way, we get to the roots of the symptoms of your struggles and experience an increasing sense of confidence and ease in who you are. I utilize several trainings and years of experience to gently facilitate your nervous system.
I've spent many hours working with trauma using EMDR, Brainspotting, and somatic inquiry for many years and continue to work with it within myself on a regular basis. While these approaches are distinct, they acknowledge same underlying truth: your nervous system will automatically try to regulate when overwhelmed - these are usually unwanted symptoms - and, if supported, will integrate events that could not be initially. I'm here to facilitate this process gently and efficiently.
Anxiety can be difficult for so many of us, but its roots tend to run deep. While we are often only given tools to help us cope, there is a way to address anxiety at the source. I've helped countless people reduce and eliminate much of their anxiety through education on the nervous system and the true nature of anxiety, and then working through the stuck fear that continues to show up as chronic anxiety.

Because anxiety is rooted in unresolved trauma where we entered a flight response that didn't deliver us to safety, we have to work on a somatic (body-based) level to fully address it. I combine education, the gentle presence of nature, and precise prompts and questions to support and track your nervous system so it can complete this process, leaving you feeling grounded, calm, and engaged in your surroundings.
Spirituality has been a constant throughout my life and I've learned that at the core of many emotional challenges lies clarity and greater empowerment. I have thousands of hours of meditation and mindfulness practice under my belt, and know from experience that when we are willing to commit to the process of spiritual maturation, every experience is a gift.
