About My Clients

At D3 Therapy Services, I focus on helping young widows navigate life after death. The death of a spouse/partner early on shatters the fairy tale of "happily ever after". Not only is the fairy tale of spending 50+ years with your loved one gone, but other losses occur too. The loss of identity, support from friends/family, co-parenting, financial security, security/safety, and more. However, hope still can be present. Let's work together to honor your losses and begin rebuilding with hope.

My Background and Approach

I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor with the state of Texas since 2013. Through the years, I have helped many individuals in a multitude of settings: crisis unit, a substance use facility, domestic violence, outpatient, and even in-home assessments for Medicaid services. D3 Therapy Services began in 2024, with a need to address the gap of available therapy services geared towards young widows. I wanted to make sure I can meet widow's where they are, mentally, emotionally and even physically. Therefore, I provide therapy services in a variety of ways to meet my client's needs: in person at an office space, virtually, walk-and-talk at a park/nature preserve, and within the client's personal home. I am trained in ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy), a CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy) provider, and a grief-informed and trauma-informed certified provider. I use an eclectic approach with my clients: CBT, SFBT, narrative, person-centered - based on client needs.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a young widow myself, I am living proof that hope exists after losing a spouse/partner. I believe with my personal and clinical experience, I can provide strong support to clients through a relational lens. As a therapist, I will not bring my personal experience into the therapy room - it is your space, not mine. However, I can understand the journey that you are on, due to being on the same road. As a client, you are the expert of your life. You get to make your choices - I am here to support, encourage, and challenge your growth. Growth occurs when you feel supported and heard. After all, "you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think," according to Carter Crocker. Let's see how I can help you along your journey towards building resilience and growth.
