About My Clients
For two decades, I provided direct service to clients in need through my previous career in social services. Throughout that time, I gained extensive knowledge of the effects of trauma and training in mindfulness techniques for emotional regulation. I worked with diverse and disadvantaged populations with various diagnoses, such as personality disorders, depression, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, phobias, social anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and PTSD.
My Background and Approach
Therapy is not a one size fits all and so therefore I do not believe in using one modality of therapy. I utilize a collective approach with implementing interventions from CBT, EMDR and Psychodynamic which allows me to support each of my clients' unique needs and goals. Together we will explore and identify thoughts, beliefs and habits that are creating barriers to your overall wellbeing and learn new tools to create healthier beliefs and to build more resiliency to cope with current and future stressors. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that, as individuals, we are constantly evolving throughout life. Naturally, these changes bring feelings, times of uncertainty, and lows in life, especially when the world and others tend to not be changing at the same pace as us. Many of us are unable or do not feel comfortable with gaining support from others around us. Therefore, I believe therapy is essential for overall well-being and giving people a safe space during times of transformations.
