About My Clients
You are crying and anxious, unable to focus, snapping at those around you over minor things. You feel yourself pushing your feelings down and avoiding thoughts, conversation, and certain tasks as you try to cope with your traumatic and abusive childhood. The family you were raised in left you with so much pain, but what do you do with it now? My clients are able to find relief, work through emotions and feel stronger and calmer as their beliefs about their trauma change. Call to get started.
My Background and Approach
Your friends and family think you should return to therapy, but will it work this time? I have training and knowledge in several body-based and softer approaches to treating trauma. I have been using these methods for over a decade and a half to help my clients find relief in the aftermath of trauma and being raised in unhealthy or toxic family dynamics. Childhood abuse and toxic family dynamics shouldn't have to hold you back from becoming the person you want to be.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I became a therapist because I deeply love helping people who have been through hard situations and want to make their life better. I wanted to be a resource of hope and relief for those who have been through trauma or endured difficult and challenging upbringings through families that were less than ideal. I love seeing people not just heal, but the impact their healing makes on their families, friends, and communities when they are happier and healthier. I believe those who are able to balance getting their own needs met with responsibilities and challenges, increases their capacity to cope with difficulties. I do this by spending time doing the things I love including going for walks in the park, biking, nature watching, caring for animals, reading or listening to audiobooks, learning, spending time with friends and family, and volunteering through my faith community.
