About My Clients
I work with clients from a diverse range of backgrounds. Some conditions that clients have seen me for include career/life transitions, struggles in academia, relationship issues, OCD, issues with sexuality or gender identity, anxiety, and depression.
My Background and Approach
There isn’t one approach to medications or therapy that’s right for every person. I’ll take the time to get to know you and your goals to tailor an approach that fits your needs. Every person is unique, and that’s how I approach my practice. Some people do well with medication alone, some with therapy alone, and some prefer a combination of both. I am trained in a range of therapy styles including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) psychodynamic therapy, supportive therapy, and Gottman style couples/relationship therapy. I graduated from UMass Medical school and was trained in adult psychiatry at Cambridge Health Alliance, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital. Prior to going to medical school I received a Masters in Teaching from Boston University and worked as a teacher. This unique background affects my approach to psychiatry.
