About My Clients
My mission to guide individuals and groups in self-discovery, self-understanding, growth and empowerment has led me to a few areas of specialty/passion: Understanding and healing aspects of your past to become the parent you wish to be Moving through your monthly rhythms and powers through menstrual cycle awareness and syncing And living life out loud in the LGBTQ+ community My goal is to help you feel empowered and embodied in the life stage and identity you are in.
My Background and Approach
I have been a dance/movement therapist for 13+ years and have worked with a number of individuals and groups to help clients connect to themselves, to others, and to feel confident in who they are. I have worked in elementary schools, Outpatient center for neurodivergent kids, residential and inpatient centers, and finally in private practice; these experiences have allowed me to see mental and emotional wellness on a spectrum and hone my approach to best meet your needs. I consider development, attachment, and patterns of belief and behavior when sitting or moving with my clients to help them gain the best understanding of themselves. I am one to look for the deeper connections and help bring them into the light with symbolism, metaphor, and creative expression. I am comfortable with silence, stillness, and hesitation, and am skilled in creating a space in which you feel safe and understood.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value authenticity, equity, and inclusion. I work to acknowledge my privileges and implicit biases. I wish for oppressed and marginalized individuals to feel safe and free to express themselves, and strive to create this type of space in my therapy room. I am open to feedback and self-reflective so that I may continue to grow and serve in the best way possible.
