About My Clients
My goal as a counselor is to offer support to children and their families during difficult times. I use play and creative interventions to help children and adolescents make sense of their worlds and express themselves. I help clients identify their feelings and express their needs in their own way and then work with people in the child’s life (ex: family and teachers) to help them continue to express themselves outside of the playroom.
My Background and Approach
Through specializing in working with children and adolescents, I am inspired by the resilience that children have and feel honored to work with them to identify their strengths and process through different things happening in their world. My specializations include school-related issues, anxiety, peer relationships, and relationship issues.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am here to help you and your child through your struggles. Therapy is a collaborative relationship that facilitates growth and change by using clients' strengths. Parents and children are resilient and capable of this growth, but having a safe space and counselor to provide empathy, support, and encouragement, can help the process feel less overwhelming.
