About My Clients

You may be the person others rely on, the one who holds it together, takes care of everyone else, or keeps pushing even when you're exhausted. I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, substance use and recovery, relationships, identity, life transitions, and spiritual or existential concerns. I especially enjoy working with therapists and helping professionals, as well as people wanting to rebuild self-trust, boundaries, connection, and a stronger sense of self.

My Background and Approach

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor (LPC, LPCS) and Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (AADC) with more than 13 years of clinical experience. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and whole-person, integrating EMDR, Somatic Experiencing®, mindfulness, and approaches informed by IFS, Narrative Therapy, and Jungian psychology. Rather than relying on one method, we’ll shape therapy around your needs, goals, identity, lived experience, and pace. I pay attention not only to thoughts and emotions, but also to the nervous system, relationships, patterns, meaning, and the ways past experiences may still be showing up in the present. For clients who want it, therapy can also make room for spirituality, symbolism, creativity, and other reflective practices. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, strengthen self-trust, develop greater choice in how you respond, and feel more connected to yourself and the life you want to create.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy is political. Our mental health does not exist in a vacuum. It is shaped by our relationships, communities, identities, cultures, systems, access to resources, and the world around us. I am LGBTQ+ affirming, social justice oriented, and committed to culturally responsive care. I believe therapy should be a space where you do not have to leave important parts of yourself at the door or have your experiences reduced to a diagnosis. I value curiosity over judgment and believe there can be room for both science and soul. Spirituality, meaning, creativity, and intuition can coexist with evidence-based clinical care when they are meaningful to you. I also believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is not to tell you who to be, but to help you understand yourself more deeply, reconnect with your own wisdom, and make choices that feel aligned with the life you want to live.
