About My Clients
Have you been through a traumatic experience that still impacts you to this day? Do you suffer with anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem? Do your struggles stop you from living the life you always wanted? This could make anyone feel alone, exhausted, and disconnected from even your closest loved ones. For many people, reaching out for help can be daunting and scary. But if you’re looking for someone friendly and supportive to share your struggles with, you’re in the right place!
My Background and Approach
Understanding your feelings and the root of the issue can be overwhelming. But together, we will walk through the weeds together! I offer a variety of evidence-based and trauma focused therapy techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). These help to identify and debunk unhelpful thought and behavioral patterns that could be causing you to feel stuck. We would work together to tackle these unhelpful patterns, boost confidence in your own abilities, and shape helpful coping and emotional regulation skills that will foster autonomy and empower you for the future. Because you are unique and special in your own way, I will work to create an individualized treatment that builds on your strengths and abilities.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Psychology and helping others are great passions of mine. Your trust is very valuable to me, and I will always strive to make you feel safe, protected, and validated. Whether you are new to therapy or have been in therapy for years, everyone’s experience is different. So, my goal is to create a judgement free space that is tailored to your needs. Life is never without struggle, so I can often relate to some of the difficulties my clients are dealing with. I was born and raised in Texas and lived in South Carolina and Georgia during my graduate studies. I received my Bachelor of Science at Texas A&M University and my Master of Science at The University of South Carolina Aiken. I am an enthusiastic animal lover and am blessed by two fur babies, Winnie (dog) and Belle (cat), who you may see in the background of our sessions from time to time. I also love being outdoors, reading, crafting, and gardening.
