About My Clients
My clients tend to be constantly worried and sometimes overwhelmed with fear. And they often are worried about increasingly dark thoughts. Do you feel misunderstood and your relationships are strained? Or do you feel like you deserve more, but don't know how to get it, and often find yourself sabotaging your own efforts to live a more fruitful life? Anxiety has taken over the lives of my clients, many of whom are facing issues unique to women or are experiencing many of life's big changes.
My Background and Approach
By using evidence-based approaches, like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I can help you reduce the painful impact of your emotions on your day-to-day life, and learn to identify and focus on what you can control. I also am trained to help you take steps to improve your relationships. I believe in empowering and equipping clients to handle all of life's transitions and face whatever comes their way with strength, resilience and a greater sense of peace.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I provide compassionate support, which means I am dedicated to being on your side, and I offer a safe, non-judgmental place for you to explore all of your needs, wants and concerns. I also offer faith-based counseling. I am a Christian, but I know that people differ in religious beliefs. I recognize the impact of spirituality on a life can be a positive force like no other. Consequently, all faiths are welcome in my practice.
