About My Clients
My clients are often coming to therapy to get support for grief and loss, life adjustments, depression and BIPOC mental health. My goal is to help you take charge of your mental health and thrive amidst life’s ups and downs. I use a conversational and relatable approach to therapy makes it easier to open up and tackle the tough stuff. As such, clients find themselves feeling more empowered and on the path to a more fulfilling life.
My Background and Approach
First and foremost, I approach therapy with openness, using a humanistic approach. To do this with clients, we start by building on strengths & I encourage growth in all areas of wellness. I specialize in grief counseling, life transitions & spiritual wellness including improving clients' sense of purpose and promoting intentional, mindful living. I've worked in psychiatric, residential & outpatient settings, gaining a broad range of skills to treat mental health needs. In addition to clinical work, I am an adjunct professor at Monmouth University in Long Branch New Jersey, and an advocate of BIPOC mental wellness, social justice & the role of spirituality in mental health.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I use my studies and lived experience to inform my clinical insight, understanding the core principles of self-actualization, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. I strive to help clients explore their feelings, beliefs, and behaviors in a non-judgmental space, fostering self-awareness and personal growth. By adopting a holistic approach, I view each client as a unique individual with their own experiences and perspectives. This allows me to tailor my therapeutic interventions to suit their specific needs and goals.
