About My Clients
My ideal client would be one that wants to actively work toward creating the life the deserve by finding new meaning in their past experiences. Anxiety, trauma and depression are the areas most clients struggle with the most. Our current pandemic crisis has helped to amplify an already unstable living environment that adds to the trauma we have already experienced over our lifetime.
My Background and Approach
My philosophy stems from knowing that you are the expect in your own life. My job, as your therapist, is to assist you with finding new meaning in your life and redirecting negative thought patterns. In my lifetime I have experienced depression, anxiety and the loss of many family members. These experiences help me to understand where my clients come from and how I can best help them in times of need.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have been fortunate to lead a rather safe life growing up in the middle class suburbs. In knowing that I have had that priviledge, I have pushed myself into working with all types of people. Working in the county jail, with those who experience severe mental illness, recovering addicts and children in the foster care system are just some of the experiences I have had in my career. I am a supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community and a poly-friendly/ethical non-monogamy therapist. I am currently studying kink and sex therapy through a PhD program in Florida.
