About My Clients
I welcome clients of all ages, sexual orientations, religious affiliations, gender identities and from all backgrounds. I work with clients who are experiencing anxiety or depression; feel stuck or confused about work or personal relationships; or are otherwise unable to achieve important life goals.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is empathic, engaged, and collaborative. In a safe and nurturing environment, we will work together to explore what may be holding you back from living a fulfilling, satisfying life. Together we will seek solutions which will lead to positive change. I work with clients who are experiencing anxiety or depression; feel stuck or confused about work or personal relationships; or are otherwise unable to achieve important life goals. I am a psychotherapist working at a community-based clinic and in private practice. I hold a master’s degree in clinical social work from the NYU Silver School of Social Work and have also earned a Master of Studies in Law from Yale Law School. My extensive and varied life experience -- not only in social work but also in journalism, dance, the law, and as a parent and parent coach -- informs my approach to each individual client and their needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the power of therapy to transform lives and relationships. In my practice I have witnessed clients progress and thrive by gaining insight into what is holding them back and using that insight to implement positive change. As a client I have derived untold benefits in my own therapy. My practice in inclusive, non-discriminatory, and anti-racist. I have personal intimate experience with LGBTQ populations and participate in marches and community activism that support the LGBTQ community and BLM.
