Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Washington, DC

About My Clients

I have worked with pediatric, adolescent, young adult and adult patients with complex medical needs and/or serious illness and their families in hospital and hospice settings. The bulk of my grief and bereavement work involves children, and extends beyond illness to include all manner of death.

My Background and Approach

I received my BA from George Washington University, my MSW from the University of Michigan School of Social Work and my post-MSW fellowship training through Harvard Medical School's Center for Palliative Care. I am passionate about working with individuals of all ages - and their families - who are facing chronic or life-limiting illness, regardless of where they may be in their treatment trajectory. My advanced training in traumatic grief counseling and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy guides my bereavement work. Areas of expertise include accompanying parents, siblings, friends and other family members after the death of a young child (perinatal through age 18).

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I consider it a privilege to be invited into the sacred space of your story – to bear witness to all that you share as we navigate, together, this part of your journey. I strive to ground my clinical practice in humility and compassion, as well as an eagerness to learn from and with you.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
