About My Clients
Many of the adults I work with are doing well in several areas of their lives. They’re building careers, maintaining relationships, and handling their responsibilities. But something isn’t fully working. Often they’ve spent a lot of time trying to figure things out on their own. But certain patterns sometimes keep resurfacing: in relationships, in overthinking decisions, or overall sense of being stuck.
My Background and Approach
I received my doctorate in clinical psychology in 2012 and have been working since in outpatient, residential, and academia settings. My approach is primarily psychodynamic, which means we pay attention to what keeps recurring in your relationships, decisions, and inner dialogue. Together, we explore how these patterns developed and how they may still be shaping your present experience. We also make space for emotions that may have been difficult to access or have been pushed aside. As these experiences become clearer, different ways of responding often start to feel possible. When helpful, I also incorporate practical tools, including strategies from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), to work with anxiety, self-doubt, or unhelpful thinking patterns. I take a curious, collaborative, and active approach to therapy. Humor shows up naturally when it fits. Therapy with me tends to be a place where clients feel seen, can slow down, and tune into parts of themselves they often overlook.
