About My Clients
I am passionate about working with moms who have experienced the unexpected; from infertility and pregnancy loss to hyperemesis gravidarum and birth trauma. I also specialize in working with individuals and couples adjusting to parental transitions, teens and adults struggling with self-worth, grief and loss, trauma survivors, improving familial and intimate relationships, stress management and setting healthy boundaries.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT135236) providing virtual services in the state of California. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy both from Chapman University. I have experience working with adults, teens, couples and families. I work from a strengths-based perspective and incorporate humor in our therapeutic relationship. I aim to meet you where you are and incorporate the wisdom of family systems theories, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment theory and the Satir growth model to provide you with a plan that fits your needs. I believe the therapeutic relationship can be healing in itself and I hope to create a space in which you feel supported and empowered to create the change you wish to see in your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we are all stronger than we believe and that the human capacity for change is unimaginable. I spent a year volunteering as a Sexual Assault Crisis Counselor in Orange County and I got the opportunity to sit with men, women, and children who had just experienced a horrible violation. Despite this atrocity, here they sat with me in the hospital, taking the first step towards reclaiming their power. That takes grit. I see people moving through life everyday with that kind of courage and I am reminded of why we put in the work to fight for the lives we envision for ourselves.
