I am trained in trauma informed care and specialize in EMDR. This is a proven intervention used to aid in recovery from early childhood trauma and other distressing life experiences. Counseling can be a safe space to begin self-exploration in a way that helps you understand yourself in relation to your experiences. This process enables you to assess, process, and create the changes you desire.

I also have extensive experience supporting parents and caregivers in newly formed and blended families including birthing individuals, kinship families, as well as adoptive families formed through foster care or private placement. I work from a trauma informed and attachment based perspective. I work with families preparing for placement and provide post placement support.

I have advanced training in perinatal mental health and have extensive experience supporting individuals experiencing fertility challenges, difficult pregnancy, grief and loss. I also have extensive experience supporting parents in making decisions about family planning and adjustment.

I take a collaborative, trauma iniformed, systems-based approach to therapy. I believe that each individual has the strength inside them to be successful in thier day to day relationships. We respond to stress based upon the tools we developed early in life. When we begin to notice those tools are no longer working for us, Counseling can be a safe place to begin self-exploration, honor our experiences, and begin to learn new ways to manage stress, emotions, and relationship patterns.

I am a trauma informed Safe EMDR provider. This is an extensively researched, effective method of intervention that is proven to aid in recovery. EMDR can be woven into your treatment plan or is offered in short EMDR Intensive sessions as an adjunctive therapy intervention. I am a Master's Level Clinician trained in Art Therapy with a focus on Family Systems. I am a Registered Art Therapist through the Art Therapy Credentials Board (#24-589). When agreed upon, art can be intentionally introduced into the therapeutic process to help you reach specific goals. The therapeutic use of art is provent to help increase neural connectivity in the area of the brain that deals with introspection, memory, and self monitoring. It helps increase self awareness and resiliency
