About My Clients
I work with adults and couples who want therapy to provide both compassionate support and practical direction. My clients often want more than a place to talk—they want to better understand what is keeping them stuck and learn tools they can apply in their everyday lives. I am a certified C.B.T. therapist with a background in clinical social work and experience in university and community behavioral-health settings. I have a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent adults.
My Background and Approach
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Marriage and Family Studies from Brigham Young University–Idaho and my Master of Social Work from Boise State University, with a focus on clinical mental health. My experience includes community and university behavioral health settings, including the Boise State Counseling Center, where I supported clients through stress, and complex emotional seasons. I am a certified TEAM-CBT therapist and use an active, evidence-based approach grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Together, we examine how thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationship patterns may be keeping you stuck. My style is collaborative and down-to-earth, combining empathy with clear goals and practical tools. We will build insight, strengthen motivation, and practice strategies that extend beyond the therapy room. I tailor treatment to your strengths, needs, and goals, helping you create progress that feels meaningful, manageable, and lasting.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people are capable of meaningful change, even when they have felt stuck, overwhelmed, misunderstood, or discouraged for a long time. Change becomes possible when you have a supportive space to be honest, a clearer understanding of what is getting in the way, and practical tools you can use in daily life. I believe you are the expert on your own experiences, and values. My role is to bring honest feedback as we work toward the changes that matter to you. I also believe there is no single “right” way to think, communicate, or move through the world. Neurodivergent clients deserve therapy that recognizes their strengths and needs rather than asking them to simply fit conventional expectations. Together, we can develop strategies that work with your brain, strengthen your relationships, and help you build a life that feels more authentic.
