It is my firm belief that mental health care should be no different from physical health care, with regular check ups and preventative care as well as targeted care for specific issues that may arise. Most people will experience a challenging time in their lifetime requiring assistance from a mental health professional and it is my hope that I can help individuals learn the skills needed to see themselves through.
I believe strongly that each of us have the ability to heal ourselves, but many times we have not been taught how to access those abilities or how to recognize our inner strength. My own experiences in managing chronic illness and pain have taught me that we are all much stronger than we realize and can face the challenges of life successfully. Through mindfulness based practices, we can learn to change our relationship with ourselves and the challenges we face & learn how to turn off auto-pilot and instead live an intentional, authentic life.
