About My Clients
I’ve provided mental health services to kids, teens, and adults in various settings, both virtual & in-person. I have experience working with various issues like depression, anxiety (including OCD and panic disorders), ADHD, conduct disorders, bipolar, chronic health conditions, relationship issues, career counseling & adjustment disorders. Currently, I provide individual, couples & family therapy to clients virtually. Therapy is the first step towards taking control of your life.
My Background and Approach
After earning my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling in 2012, I became a National Certified Counselor with the National Board for Certified Counselors. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina and a member of the American Mental Health Counselor’s Association. I tend to utilize an eclectic approach to counseling that incorporates elements of person-centered, psychodynamic, and CBT. I believe it’s important to build a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients that focuses on their strengths and goals. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is essential to establishing a strong connection and effectiveness. Depending on my client’s presenting problem, whether it be processing past trauma; dealing with current challenges; or facing future uncertainties and worries, I can cater my strategies to a solution-focused or insight-oriented approach to our therapeutic journey.
