About My Clients
Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, depressed, or unhappy with life choices and/or situations? Are you having difficulty sleeping or having appetite fluctuations? Do you need help with learning coping skills to help with everyday stressors? Let me assist in helping you process feelings and grow as an individual. Through education and life experiences, it allows me to look beyond just today and explore past history to help you be the best version of yourself.
My Background and Approach
Licensed in the state of Florida, I have eight years' experience in a variety of age groups and in children and adult populations. I have worked with military and their families, pregnant teens, homeless, juvenile justice, dually diagnosed, & At-Risk youth. I have experience in working with Anxiety, ADHD, Depression, and self-esteem. For anxiety and depression, I would normally work with you with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused-brief therapy (SFBT), and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). For self-esteem, I would work with you with CBT. My goal for you is to have an array of coping skills that you can pull from to help with current symptoms. I will provide psychoeducation to help you understand why environment, genetics, family history, and childhood experiences affect mental health.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe through understanding each person's life history, a person can grow in their lives. Individuals learn unhealthy habits and learned behaviors that can be "unlearned" through learning effecting coping skills. I have a history of experiencing anxiety, and although, it still creeps in, I have multiple coping skills that help relieve it, when it arises. Though personal experiences and work experiences, I have learned that not every two people are the same and each person needs different ways to cope.
