About My Clients
I like to keep things honest: therapy can be confusing, sometimes even disorienting. It's also gritty, brave, and deeply badass work. The path winds through grief swamps, ADHD spirals, anxiety cliffs, and quiet glades of self-trust you didn't know where there. Sometimes, it winds through the wreckage trauma leaves behind. You are not lost. You are just in unfamiliar territory. As a neurodivergent queer therapist, I'll walk with you. Let's map it together.
My Background and Approach
I work with teens, young adults, and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, ADHD, and dissociative experiences - including Dissociative Identity Disorder. My 20+ years in the field have included work in public schools, college student-focused practices, and private practice. These experiences shape my deep respect for how people survive and adapt. My approach is warm, curious, and collaborative. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients notice patterns in thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and build practical coping skills. I also draw from Integrative Dialogue Therapy, which focuses on the internal dialogues we carry - especially helpful for those with trauma or dissociation. This approach creates space for all parts of you to be heard and begin to heal. I believe therapy should honor your full complexity. Whether you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain how to move forward, I'll walk beside you with care, honesty, and a belief in your capacity to heal.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens when we are truly seen, without judgment. As a queer woman married my wife of 14 years - who pastors an all-LGBTQ+ church - I'm deeply committed to creating affirming space for LGBTQ+ individuals and relationships. I believe faith, in any form, is an intricate part of our being, and I honor the wounds many carry from religious trauma. Nature and travel are grounding forces in my life - places where I reconnect with my values, reflect deeply, and remember what matters. I believe therapy is sacred space: a place where we explore pain, joy, identity, and resilience. I stand for the right of every person to live fully as themselves, to question systems that have harmed them, and to find healing in ways that feel true. My work is guided by compassion, honesty, and the belief that we all carry wisdom within us - even when it's been buried by fear, trauma, or shame. You're not too much. You're not alone.
