About My Clients

*IMMEDIATE OPENINGS MAY BE AVAILABLE* With over 20 years of experience, I work with a wide variety of adults and have experience and specialized training in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD and trauma, bipolar disorder, psychosis, interpersonal difficulties, emotional distress, and life transitions. My clients are often seeking relief from symptoms or distress while also pursuing meaningful and sustainable lives. Together, we define your goals and work to achieve them.

My Background and Approach

In my work with clients, I emphasize improving psychological well-being, increasing resilience, enhancing values-based living, and decreasing symptoms. This is done by offering evidence-based, culturally responsive treatment to assist clients with leading a meaningful and sustainable life. Culture, learning history, experiences, and values shape each individual and these are important to explore and understand throughout therapy. I work collaboratively with clients to identify treatment goals and approach treatment from a strengths-based perspective. I have specialized training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Skills Training, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, and Motivational Interviewing. In addition, I have extensive experience working with a variety of clientele from different gender identity, gender expression, race, ethnicity, sexual identity, sexual expression, class, and religious and spiritual backgrounds.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that people are capable of change and growth even if it seems difficult. Culture, intersecting identities, past experiences, learning history and values shape each person and exploration of these is crucial in therapy. Oftentimes, increased understanding, greater awareness, and utilization of a person's strengths and abilities can help people in the pursuit of meaningful goals and increased sense of well-being. Fundamentally, I work from the recovery model-all people are capable of living rich and meaningful lives. To get there, I employ evidence-based psychological interventions to help people achieve the goals important to them. I would be honored to be a part of your journey and look forward to hearing from you.
