About My Clients
Do you often feel overwhelmed, anxious, or hopeless? Do you struggle with finishing small tasks, getting out of bed, or freeze and can't get anything done? Are you looking for someone understanding, compassionate, and who values the relationship? I help those who suffer from painful emotions, dysregulating thoughts, and ineffective behaviors that often lead them to feel numb or avoid life.
My Background and Approach
I build empathy through the power of understanding and being non-judgmental and accepting of meeting my client where they are at. I believe in the power of validation while gently pushing for change by creating a non-judgmental, safe and supportive environment. I am an intensively trained DBT therapist who has had advanced intensive DBT training along with DBT training in treating trauma with Prolonged Exposure therapy by Melanie Harned.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I help those who suffer from painful emotions, dysregulating thoughts and ineffective behaviors that leads them to feel numb or avoid life. The most important part of therapy is the relationship we build together. Part of building the relationship is sharing personal things such as I have two dogs named Winnie and Bear and I have ADHD. This is because we are a team and, in the rowboat, together. I am passionate about helping individuals and families break the stigma of mental health issues and create a life worth living. I believe in the power of validation while gently pushing for change by creating a non-judgmental, safe and supportive environment.
