About My Clients

My clients are often exhausted and feeling hopeless. Many have spent years battling terrifying, taboo intrusive thoughts—about harm, sexuality, relationships, or contamination—feeling like their minds aren't their own. Others are couples caught in endless conflict, intimacy issues, or navigating how OCD impacts their partnership. I also work with individuals and university students navigating intense life transitions, stress, and the profound layers of sexual orientation and gender identity.

My Background and Approach

Because traditional talk therapy often falls short or can even worsen OCD, my approach is specialized, direct, and evidence-based. I utilize Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), CBT, and ACT to help you face your biggest fears head-on. It isn’t easy—it might be one of the hardest things you ever do—but I will take every step of the journey with you as your guide and confidant. In my work with couples, I address conflicts ranging from communication breakdowns and affairs to the unique strain that OCD or trauma places on a relationship, helping partners become invaluable allies to one another. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years working as a software developer. Through my own counseling and deep introspection, I made a massive career change into a field I love deeply. Because of this, I also offer career counseling to help clients cut through external expectations, decode their strengths, and confidently transition into paths that align with their authentic selves.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe real, lasting change happens within a warm, trusting relationship where you feel entirely safe to be fully seen. OCD, trauma, and identity exploration can make your world feel incredibly small, heavy, and isolating. My core belief is that therapy should help make your life big again. I know firsthand how destabilizing it can feel to explore who you are while trying to keep up with the pressures of daily life. As a queer therapist, I have personally navigated profound changes in my own sexual orientation, gender identity, and career. I know the courage it takes to look inward and rewrite your path. Because of my personal and professional journey, I am deeply committed to providing an encouraging, explicitly inclusive space. I offer deep empathy around the highly taboo topics that OCD latches onto or the messy complexities of relationship dynamics. You do not have to carry the fear, shame, or confusion alone. All you have to do is reach out.
