About My Clients
The primary survivors whom I have the honor of working with have complex trauma and structural dissociation, often with experiences of sexual violence, trafficking, generational trauma, criminal justice-involvement (e.g. incarceration, gangs), homelessness, and/or first responder trauma. Additionally, I specialize in working with those who have multiplicity/plurality; aka systems, alters, parts, DID, or OSDD. I also work with people who have extra-sensory/perceptual experiences (aka psychosis).
My Background and Approach
I am also licensed in Florida, Nevada, Oregon, and Utah. To learn more about which insurance plans I accept in these states, go to my website: www.anystageofhealing.com I have a trauma-informed, relational, harm reduction, integrative, empowerment-driven, and collaborative approach. My objective is to support my clients work toward their goals, and I honor their cultural and spiritual values as additional sources they are welcome to draw from. I'm here to help you find your inherent strengths and think that part of healing from relational trauma is by experiencing healing relationships. I have practiced in a diverse range of settings, including community non-profits, outpatient clinics, street-based homeless services, jails, residential homes and facilities, police departments, courthouses, and hospitals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I don't believe in a "one-size-fits all" mentality and prefer to just meet my clients where they're at, then go from there. I am not afraid to sit with people in their emotions, whether they be pain, grief, rage, or numbness; these are elements of the healing process that deserve to have space and feel heard, instead of being told to “just get over it” or “move on”. All parts of you are welcome. In therapy, you don't need to be "put together", sober/clean, or on medication; I will meet you exactly where you're at and honor wherever you are. My goal is to support you on your journey and do all that I can within my scope of competence and ability. I understand how hard it can be to find someone whom you vibe with, not to mention feel safe with. It is important to me that I'm transparent with you about the process and my competencies as well, even if this means connecting you with someone whom I believe may be better equipped to support you in the way you deserve.
