About My Clients
Do you fear disappointing others, struggle to speak honestly about your needs, or feel exhausted from frequently adapting? Perhaps you’re questioning a career path, relationship dynamic, or religious environment and feel uncertain about what comes next. If any of this resonates, I’m glad you’re here and would love to connect with you. I know how it feels to struggle to step into new parts of ourselves and I also know that it’s possible over time.
My Background and Approach
Through warmth and compassion, I seek to help identify themes that may contribute to your struggles. Together we can help you stand in your strengths and I offer gentle challenges to help you grow. I incorporate EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing) to help treat trauma that may be at the root of current pain. In my work with neurodivergence (ADHD & autism) I use an integrative approach that addresses strengths, relationships and practical ways of navigating a neurotypical world. I use an integrative approach which includes psychodynamic work, parts work and also incorporates solution oriented, practical tools.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I grew up in a fundamentalist Christian environment and have gone through many years of figuring out what I believe now and what that means for my identity and relationships. Many of my friends in these environments were queer, but feared coming out. I have watched the queer community go through a lot of pain. Because of these experiences, I am an enthusiastic ally. I love walking alongside people who are seeking to have more peace in who they are. Many people who begin the journey of questioning their religious past land in different places. I believe everyone's journey is unique and I seek to honor yours, whether you are seeking a more inclusive version of the faith you grew up in or longing for something else. I offer spiritual integration in which we can talk about the existential nature of it all if you would like that to be a part of therapy. In my work with clients, I also hold in mind how systemic issues are at play in personal pain.
