About My Clients
Traumatic events are painful and often result in wounds that can't be seen. I believe that understanding trauma and how trauma has affected you is the first step in healing from trauma. You don’t have to do this alone. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults – those who have experienced trauma and those who may be struggling with stress, anxiety, or depression. In addition, I also work with families experiencing separation or divorce.
My Background and Approach
I am very excited to be coming back to the Chicago area! I moved to North Carolina 5 years ago to work on an elite team of Mental Health Clinicians that responds immediately to police calls involving child victims or witnesses to violence or other trauma. I worked in partnership with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department, other mental professionals, and child protective services, to coordinate multi-system interventions that re-establishes safety, security, and well-being in the immediate wake of violent events. As an acute response trauma clinician, I have developed a unique set of skills that allows for me to aid clients on their journey of healing from traumatic events. I am nationally certified to deliver Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I am also trained in Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I will be accepting new Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) clients in Spring 2022.
