About My Clients
I specialize in working with individuals and couples, age 18 and older. My passion lies in working with diverse clients, especially those who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, couples and individuals in polyamorous/ethically non-monogamous relationships, and those dealing with medical diagnoses and their impact on relationships.
My Background and Approach
Using elements of narrative, solution-focused, and attachment theories, I create a safe environment for clients to explore their wants, needs, desires, and the origins of the messages that they have received about themselves, others, and relationships. I am also a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator. Originally from Ohio, I pursued my Bachelor's degree at Kent State University before relocating to the Raleigh area in 2005. Initially working in the environmental laboratory industry, my true calling lay in helping others through therapy which led me to achieve my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University.
