About My Clients

Or maybe you feel stuck doing anything you can to tame seemingly ridiculous fears. The never-ending worries and intense physical discomfort of anxiety can be exhausting and overwhelming. I would love to give you the tools to ease your anxiety and take back your life.

My Background and Approach

I understand how destructive anxiety can be and I love to see the success of the clients that I work with in overcoming their anxiety and taking back their lives. I discovered my passion for helping individuals with anxiety early in my career as a therapist and have since made it a point to become trained in the most effective ways to treat anxiety. We would work together to identify what is driving your anxiety and then find the most effective strategies for you so that you don’t have to feel powerless anymore. My goal is to give you the tools you need to gradually face your fears and gain the confidence to get back to (or get started on!) the things that you love. **Incoming Jargon Warning** In case you are interested in my specific treatment modalities, I primarily use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which have been found to be the most effective forms of treatment for anxiety disorders.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that none of us can get through life without help. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t take a lot of courage to ask! I believe that confidentiality is the cornerstone of therapy. I strive to provide a space where you can feel safe to talk about things that might feel sensitive, embarrassing, or overwhelming. I believe that therapy is an individualized and collaborative process in which you and your therapist work together to find what works best for you. There are no magic wands or quick fixes, but I believe that therapy can be a very powerful process and you will get out of your therapy what you are able to put into it. I believe that with the right tools and support, you have the power to make positive change in your life. Overcoming anxiety means being able to truly be yourself and enjoy your life!
