Life can be challenging and there may be times when you feel too stressed, too overwhelmed, or too defeated to see that you can work things out and be hopeful and happy again. Or life events happen that throw you off course and make you question your coping skills. Or it may feel like relationships, career directions, or school aspirations aren’t as successful or as rewarding as you would like. Taking that leap to accept help is a step towards hope, healing, connection and strength.
My Background and Approach
As your therapist, my goal is to create a trusting environment that allows you to move forward and manage life's stressors. My approach is a balanced one that combines self-exploration with skill-building; validation with change. I believe what makes therapy work is that we are collaborators and partners in this journey. My aim is to support you in finding your way to answers, discovering what makes sense to you, and finding self confidence in your strengths and abilities. I will be your support and advocate through the ups and downs of working through difficult times, trying new skills and finding those meaningful discoveries. I have experience with many treatment models, and I work with you to tailor sessions that best meet your needs and goals. My specialty is in trauma. Other areas I can help are anxiety, depression, anger management, relationship difficulties and life transitions.
