People I help are motivated to meet their goal. The desire is strong although support may be needed. Change is difficult for many of us but utilizing an experienced therapist to work through stress, anxiety, impacts of trauma, relationship issues, and other life challenges can help make the process easier. My ideal clients appreciate a professional partnership with boundaries, humor, integrity, and a little push when needed. They are open to new ways of thinking and to being challenged.
My Background and Approach
Since 2006 I have been working in this field providing education and tools to overcome many issues adults and teens face. I have worked in residential treatment, inpatient behavioral health, and outpatient programs prior to private practice. I work with you to clarify your goals and develop a plan of success. I then support you by utilizing evidence based methods that match the need, especially CBT and EMDR. These help to target the source of the problem so that we can work through a process of change.
