About My Clients
Whatever your lived experience, I am here to help you understand, accept, and commit to your values. No one deserves to suffer and I believe wholeheartedly in a person's ability to change. Whether you are a survivor of interpersonal trauma, have suicidal thoughts and self-harm behaviors, or are generally overwhelmed by the intensity of your emotions, you don't have to face your hardest moments alone.
My Background and Approach
After years of exploring different career paths, I came to understand the significance of building relationships for my own well-being and found great joy in learning about others' experiences. Since becoming a mental health professional, I have gained experience in various settings, including residential and outpatient facilities, community mental health programs, and private practice. My time working with survivors & offenders of domestic violence has allowed me to witness the strength of a caring and accepting community and I am committed to creating such an environment for all my clients. I am EMDR-trained and use cognitive and dialectical behavioral techniques as well as education to help people heal from emotional wounds and create a life guided by their values.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My approach is feminist, trauma-informed, and doesn't overlook systemic forms of oppression that people face daily. I strive to create an authentic and collaborative environment where we can speak openly and freely to build a healing space together. I enjoy learning about the latest practices and standards in treating attachment wounds and PTSD. I am constantly seeking opportunities to improve my skills in these areas as well as building new ones. It is important to me to stay updated on these topics and more, as the field is constantly evolving. Reach out to connect and see if we might be a good fit.
