I offer a compassionate yet practical approach to reducing or eliminating your alcohol use. I believe alcohol is one of the most damaging drugs around & if you want to stop or reduce your intake, then you are one of the smart ones! It is crazy to me that oftentimes people are judged as "having a problem" or being "abnormal" if they don't drink. If you are ready to stop or reduce alcohol, you are in the right place and I look forward to helping you finally become free of the chains of alcohol.

Unlike other "addictions," I believe it is in many ways harder with food or eating issues, as you have to eat to survive. I offer an intuitive eating approach to give you tools to listen to your body, while at the same time we address the underlying trauma or reasons for the emotional eating. In addition, we will work together to build your repertoire of stress reduction skills. With self-compassion, self-love, persistence and a little support, you can be free from emotional eating for good!

Navigating the world of sexual & gender identity, and sexual orientation can be challenging, especially in a society where there is a strong binary representation & over simplification of sex, gender & orientation. I offer a safe non-judgmental space for you to explore all aspects of your sexual, gender identity & orientation. There are unique challenges that arise being in the LGBTQIA+ community and no matter where you are in your own process, I am here to offer you compassionate guidance.

With years of personal practice, I have first had experience of the variety of mental and physical benefits of mindfulness practice. Additionally, I have completed Jon Kabat-Zins 8 week training program, Search Inside Yourself mindfulness and leadership course together with various mindful schools trainings including mindful communication & mindfulness of emotions. I currently have a daily meditation practice and am excited to be completing my first 10 day silent meditation retreat in July.

With a passion for helping those with addictions, I continually stay up to date with the best practices in addiction counseling. Oftentimes there is a reason for people's addiction, and so I not only work on helping clients change their current behaviors, but also on the underlying reasons and past trauma. As with other mental health challenges, I offer a compassionate and non-judgmental approach, helping clients to offer themselves compassion and acceptance that is needed for persistent change

I offer a DBT informed approach (not strictly DBT as I pull from other modalities when appropriate) as to me it is the most all encompassing therapy I have come across. It helps teach life skills such as mindfulness practice, radical acceptance, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness and emotional regulation. All such skills can help with most mental health challenges and addictive tendencies.

Dealing with any addiction can be made easier with support. Whether you are looking to cut down or completely stop drinking or smoking marijuana, or whether you struggle with a substance or behavioral addiction, I am here to support you. Perhaps you have dealt with trauma or challenging life circumstances - either way, your addiction will make sense and we can work together to deal with the cause, making stopping or reducing much easier!

You can meet with me individually or explore and fully express your gender identity and connect with others in a safe and supportive environment in group.
