My Background and Approach
Adults with ADHD (diagnosed as adults) or those who believe they have ADHD (without a diagnosis) are typically inventive, ambitious dreamers who are restless, dynamic thinkers who love novelty. Neurodiversity in a neurotypical world can exacerbate worry and sadness. ADHD care isn't about fixing it, but rather tapping into the max potential of the ADHD brain. My doctoral education is specific to trauma-informed treatment and included understanding the neurobiology of stress and trauma. In short, how the brain and body responds to stress or trauma. This training supports my practice approach of being strengths based and inclusive of identifying specific tools to manage anxiety.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal and professional values are deeply rooted in social justice and advocacy. I believe everyone has worth and deserves dignity and respect. I believe that there is no one right way, flexibility is what allows us to grow and learn.
